Podcast 23: Scientific Advancement

‘Abdu’l-Bahá gave many public addresses at universities, however His talk at Standford University in October 1912 makes a direct connection between the responsibility of science and its connection to world peace. He also talks openly about His father, Baha’u’llah, a feature not often found in His public addresses. For these reasons we choose this talk along side a feature introducing ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s stay in California.

  • Amazing talk about the oneness and interconnectedness of creation; but surprisingly you deleted the last section of the talk! The scientific methodology in this address comes to a crown of Baha’u’llah’s pronouncements for the unity of religions and oneness of humanity producing peace. The noble crown of creation is challenged to pursue these goals by Abdu’l-Baha and leave behind the animalistic pursuits caused by selfishness which results in debasing human destruction in warfare ~~ far below the purpose of creation as voiced by Baha’u’llah for this Age! thanks ~ and many glowing words in pursuit of pure science! wonderful podcast just the same!

  • one of the few illuminating talks which shows the unity of all things ~ their inherent VIRTUES ~and thereby allies the Baha’i Faith to ideas of Buddhism or expressions of American native spirituality ~ a talk that scientifically explains the pervasive nature in creation about the foundation of the “consciousness” of the “oneness of humanity” which is the central teaching of this age. “God created one earth and one mankind to people it”
